Please join us for our Christmas Day Mass
and Community Gathering on Wednesday, December 25, 2024

Time: 12 Noon
Where: Old Sacred Heart Church
16th Street and Buckeye Rd

Merry Christmas to all!

This Christmas Day, the Braun Sacred Heart Center, Inc. and Sacred Heart Parish warmly invite you to join us at the historic Sacred Heart Church for Christmas Mass.

Let us come together this Christmas to celebrate the joy of the season, honor the memory of those we hold dear, and reconnect through these beautiful traditions.

We hope to see you there.

The photo is of the first Christmas Day Mass, held in 1987 and demonstrated that the community was determined to keep the City from demolishing Sacred Heart Church. The mass was held outside because the City would not allow anyone inside and was moving to tear the church down.

Christmas Day Schedule

Before Mass – Flag Ceremony
  • Led by members of American Legion Post 41, this solemn ceremony honors those who have served and sacrificed for our community and nation.

12:00 PM – Christmas Day Mass
  • The holy celebration will include a memorial bell-ringing ceremony, a heartfelt tribute to community members who have passed away this year, including those from Post 41.

After Mass – Twenty-One Gun Salute and Traditional Kissing of Baby Jesus
  • The day concludes with a stirring twenty-one gun salute, and the kissing of Baby Jesus, a tradition symbolizing love, devotion, and gratitude to our Lord.
